In addition to finding great deals on things, I also try to “stack” as many other savings options as possible! When shopping online, there are a number of ways to do so that can result in some great savings on practically anything you will buy!

Save More MoneyTarget: Let’s face it. Every time you check out at Target, the sales associate asks you if you want to save 5% by opening a RedCard.  And every time, you say no… But to be honest, getting a RedCard is a no-brainer! RedCard offers both credit and debit options. So even if you are not a credit card person, the debit card draws straight from your checking account.  Both cards provide 5% savings.  In addition, they provide free shipping with no minimum for online orders.  I admit, I did not even give it a thought until a couple months ago.  But the RedCard discount stacks on any other Cartwheel or promo codes that you use and sometimes, that extra 5% really makes the deal!!! Check out more info here!

Save More MoneyAmazon:  There are a couple ways to save more on Amazon. Amazon Prime is the most common way to save a couple extra bucks.  Not only does Prime provide you with 2-day shipping, but it also gives you access to Prime-only deals AND early access to Lightning Deals.  This year, there have been plenty of Prime-only deals on diapers, video games, toys and more. The diaper and baby food deals alone pay for the annual $99 membership fee within a couple months.  Amazon Video and Amazon Music are nice bonuses! We now buy all of our movies through Amazon Video and can stream or download them to any device (much better than having DVDs all over the place)!

You can also save more on Amazon with an Amazon Prime Store Card. It’s a bit of a RedCard knock-off, but offers a 5% statement credit for all purchases made on the card.  For larger purchases, you are given the choice of 5% savings or interest free financing.  Finally, Prime Members can always choose a slower shipping speed in exchange for $1 MP3/video credit. These credits will allow you to rent or buy content for less on Amazon Video or Amazon Music.  From time to time, the offering changes to a $5.99 Prime Pantry credit.  This credit will allow you to ship a Prime Pantry purchase for free. In some cases there are additional promotions for free shipping and the credit becomes a credit against your actual Prime Pantry order! You can try Prime for free for 30 days here!

Save More MoneyCash Back:  There are multiple rebate programs available for online purchases.  These programs offer cash back for shopping through the program’s links.  I personally use Ebates and Mr. Rebates.  Before shopping a store, I check both to determine the most cash back. Then I shop through that rebate sites links. These sites provide rebates for an awesome range of retailers.  There is no harm in signing up for both sites, they are free, no strings attached!  The only retailer I don’t bother with is Amazon.  For one, often you want to check out quickly to score a deal. Second, they tend to have limited categories for which a rebate is eligible, so it’s not worth the extra effort. You can find more information here for Ebates and here for Mr. Rebates!

Discounted gift cards
: There are several sites that offer discounted gift cards.  These gift cards can be used like cash on purchases along with promo codes to deepen your savings.  Raise.com is my go-to source.  In addition to the discounted cards they offer, they also often have promo codes for additional savings.   For example, NEWRAISE10 will currently save $10 on a $50 gift card purchase.  You can also score a $5 credit by signing up here.  This means that you can score a $50 gift card for just $35!
