The Holidays are approaching! When we welcome the Holidays, we welcome and build family traditions. One popular tradition is the Christmas Countdown. Similar to an Advent Calendar, the Christmas Countdown is a collection of 24 books individually wrapped. One is opened each night and read together as a family. There are so many options, but we’ve put together a collection of 40 Kids Books for the Holidays that will help you start or build on your collection! If your family has an Elf on the Shelf, one idea is to have the Elf bring the pile of wrapped books on the first day numbered for the days until Christmas. Another option is to simply toss the wrapped books in a basket and have the kids pick one each night. There are plenty of budget-friendly ways to build a Christmas Countdown tradition. One is to spread the purchases out over the next couple months (bookmark or pin the list to easily come back!). Others do a mix of paperback and hardcover. You will want to be sure to store the books well after Christmas so they stay in good condition! If you’re not a member, be sure to join our Facebook Group where we frequently post book deals (as well as plenty of toys and gift deals)!
